Gastro-Intestinal and Liver Laboratory
GI & Liver In-Patients (Ward 205) Ward 205 is a 27 bedded, mixed sex ward specialising in patients of all age groups, with Gastrointestinal (G.I.) & Liver disorders. Although this unit is part of the surgical directorate, it is in fact a medical ward. Patients are referred to 205 from other hospitals within Scotland, by GPs as well as from within the hospital.
Outpatient Department (OPD4)
Scottish Liver Transplant Unit There is a close link between CLDD and the Scottish Liver Transplant Unit. The wards serving both units are next to each other and four of the physicians within CLDD also work on the Liver Transplant Unit. The Scottish Liver Transplant Unit (SLTU) provides a national service for the care of patients before and after liver transplantation. It also provides care for patients with acute liver failure.
